TK TERNEN

    TK TERNEN

The customs cruiser "Ternen" from 1951 is a veteran vessel that is part of our Norwegian coastal culture. She is protected by the Directorate for Cultural Heritage and is among the boats to be preserved for future generations.

She was built for the customs service in Bergen and served faithfully there until 1979. The boat arrived at Tysnes in 2023 and is moored at the trading post E.H. Vaage. Together with the Directorate for Cultural Heritage she will be restored to her original condition.

The engine currently in the boat is a 100-horsepower 6-cylinder Ford-Sabb, nearly 50 years old and built in Bergen. Ternen is built in oak, with pine decking and mahogany superstructure.

We will use her to take guests to experience the gems around us – old trading posts, boat building, the King's old holiday resort, fishing trips and beautiful straits and coves. It will be a magical day with good food and drink on board.

We look forward to creating magical coastal experiences with T/K Ternen.
