The hotel
Historic style at 170 m above sea level
Haaheim Gaard is situated high and open at 170 m above sea level. On clear days, people say you can see whether the boathouse doors on Shetland are open.
The hotel currently has 23 rooms, where the suites are 35–45 m² with their own sauna. The rooms are furnished in historic style, most with reconstructed historic wallpapers from Swedish and Norwegian manor houses and castles.
We have several different venues for events: the Dining Room and Concert Hall seat 70 and 80 for dinner. The Wine Cellar and the Malene Salon are smaller private venues for up to 12 guests.
Heritage garden

We have a heritage garden with a chapel, garden house and 1500 metres of garden paths winding between small garden rooms with benches and flower beds. Host Torstein and gardener Ingrid want the garden to be both useful and a pleasure. Here you can walk in peace and dream – or join a guided garden walk.
Haaheim Chocolate
Handcrafted moulded and filled confectionery
In 2021 Haaheim Gaard opened its own chocolaterie at our trading post, E.H. Vaage. There we hand-mould our confectionery and fill them with good flavours from natural ingredients. At Christmas we sell confectionery boxes as gift items for both private individuals and businesses.
Knag furniture
Knag furniture finds a new home at Haaheim
Taking care of things. That is something we think a lot about here. Host Torstein has for many years collected old furniture and objects.
The furniture maker Chr. Knag AS was established by Christopher Severin Knag in 1879 and continued by his son Alf Knag. The company supplied furniture to the people of Bergen for almost a hundred years before it closed in 1975. Today, Knag furniture is regarded as a family heirloom and collector's item.
We also offer house tours with guided walks and storytelling about everything we collect and care for.
Chefs Dinner
Feast with local food and humour
Chefs Dinner is among Norway's greatest advocates for local food and drink. We hold Chefs Dinner events at selected venues in Norway with tasting menus based on local produce, local drinks, humour and creative cooking.

E.H. Vaage General Store
Welcome in to trade
Down in Uggdalseidet we have started a museum of the old bakery. We sell locally produced farm products, freshly baked bread and Haaheim's own produced confectionery chocolate. In summer we have a gastropub, and here you can book a private event for your group. E.H. Vaage is open at weekends during the high season and by arrangement year round.

At Haaheim Gaard we organise large and small gatherings and events for both private individuals and businesses. Whether you want a big party in the restaurant or banquet hall, a coffee get-together with the family, or perhaps a brainstorming session with colleagues in the Greenhouse – we listen and create proposals for your event with exciting venues.
Gamleposten at Espevær
Take a trip!
Gamleposten is situated on the completely unique island of Espevær outside Bømlo. Have you never been there – perhaps it is time to take a trip?
Through good flavours, good company and storytelling we will be lifted out of everyday life. Gamleposten is open as a seasonal restaurant.
